Kay E. Kerr

Kay E. Kerr has worked in the legal field since 1982 and was promoted to Legal Assistant in 1986. She earned her Legal Assistant Certificate in 1994 from the University of Texas at Arlington and is a Certified Paralegal in Family Law by the State Bar of Texas Paralegal Division's Board of Legal Specialization since 1996, as well as a Notary Public of The State of Texas. Kay brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our clients. Much of her legal experience was gained while serving as the lead paralegal on several multi-million dollar family law matters overseeing cases from the initial consultation to final resolution. Being detail and results-oriented with strong discovery, organization, and court preparation skills make her a valuable asset to both clients and The Decker Law Firm.

Kay provides reassurance and support to all of our clients as their cases progress combining her legal expertise with a sensitivity to often emotionally difficult family law matters. Kay also helps clients prepare important case documents such as inventories of marital assets and liabilities, responses and objections to discovery, asset summaries for mediation and preparation of trial notebooks and exhibits. Kay is instrumental in preparing complex pleadings for all types of family law cases.
